The Cronulla Sharks struggled when defending their line, in a reversal of their efforts in their victory against the Newtown Jets the previous weekend.
The failure to successfully number-up against their opponents, who created overlaps out wide by constantly shifting their attack from side-to-side, saw the Cronulla Sharks suffer a bad loss after starting the game in a promising fashion.
The Central Coast Storm had their defensive weak-points too, and the Cronulla Sharks left-hand side attack, through Anthony Killingbeck, Jess Caine, Daniel Rauicava, and Misi Taulapapa, generated all six tries for the Sharks.
Anthony Killingbeck replaced Atelea Vea in the number thirteen jersey.
